First episode
We know about plot 101. In a series with a long narrative arc however it is a challenge to introduce the story and characters and make the audience want to come back for more in the next episode.
The first episode is then a HOOK to the rest of the series. it must grab the audience AND present the exposition AND start the entire plot moving forward AND be a self contained story of its own.

Having seen the first episode, go back through it and
- find 3 hooks that will keep the audience coming back
- describe what is contained in the exposition of the entire episode
- track the narrative arch of this first episode
